Do you turn you computer off?
>>
Nope, most of the time I leave it playing music, or movies or downloading something, I just set the Windows Power options to Power Saver.

When I'm not doing anything like that I put it to sleep.

Yes, when I'm not using it.
I don't have a reason to keep it running when I'm not there for 16 hours.
Save some electricity.

dafuq

I usually don't turn off my ThinkPad except sometimes I forget to plug it back in before going to sleep and sometimes I turn it off intentionally. My minibox is always on except every now and then it power cycles for various inexplicable reasons. My netbook only gets turned on when I use it for specific purposes.

Publishers often refer to copying they don’t approve of as “piracy.” In this way, they imply that it is ethically equivalent to attacking ships on the high seas, kidnapping and murdering the people on them. Based on such propaganda, they have procured laws in most of the world to forbid copying in most (or sometimes all) circumstances. (They are still pressuring to make these prohibitions more complete.)

If you don’t believe that copying not approved by the publisher is just like kidnapping and murder, you might prefer not to use the word “piracy” to describe it.

Hello yes, I'm here for the dick measuring contest.

-FAQ-
>Yes, there are memory leaks. I've fixed them by simply rebooting some processes.
>Yes, I do use it sort of as a server so I need constant access
>Yes, I'm retarded for using win10.
>>
>>53832578
No. Occasional reboots for updates, but the only times I've turned my computer off in the past 10 years have been for hardware upgrades or moving.

>tfw 99% uptime
>>
>>53834823

Of course, i also unplug the network cable if there's a high chance of storms in my area.
>>
>>53832578
Depends on the computer. One of my desktops gets turned off when I'm asleep or out of the house and it's not actively doing something for me. The other desktop is kept hibernated so I can wake on LAN it when I'm out and want to use it remotely. I've also got two Raspberry Pis that are on 24/7.
