Believe it or not, before the G4, I came from a Stylo with a 5.7 inch screen. Going down to a 4 inch screen, there is an initial shock, but after 2-3 minutes it's really nice because it's not some big huge thing in your hand, it's just the right size for media consumption in a pinch. Even games are great on it. I really don't have any complaints, the build is extremely solid, I definately reccomend it.

I'm enjoying the SE, but it's my secondary phone. I have a Note 5 as my primary. I prefer the customization of Android, but most popular apps feel much smoother on iOS (probably because development is focused there). I much prefer the camera on the SE to my Note, the photos are much clearer. I also make less mistakes typing on the SE than the Note 5, but still prefer the Samsung keyboard.

With one hand, I can comfortably use everything but the top half half inch of the phone. In the rare event I need to pull the notification bar down, I slightly rotate my palm up. This is a small compromise for having a screen that accommodates a reasonably size keyboard. There is no way I could effectively type on a smaller screen.

Thing is with the older iPhones is that eventually - and take this from me, I've the same problem with my older Apple devices which is why I stopped buying them - Apple will stop making software updates available to you. The device becomes basically useless because for new apps etc to work, you need the latest iOS 9 times out of 10. Then the apps won't work unless you update, which you can't, because you cant update iOS. Don't waste your money especially if you won't be able to afford another phone for a while.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't really use a million new apps. I occasionally download a new game or something practical, but overall I don't need much.

I own neither, but I suppose there are a few features. Better battery, better camera, better support, better speeds. Also, it should have better transfer speeds, but probably not anything normal people will notice.
There seems to be minor shit like being able to watch a small .gif of images when you snap them, and it also has better video capturing capabilities. If you're a normie who just wants a phone to text, call, use maps and shit, and don't need the dankest tech, the SE probably won't blow your tits off. However, overall, it's a noticeable upgrade nonetheless.
