Have you considered a redmi note 2? It's only 120usd and the heliox10 it uses trades blows with the snapdragon810 used in flagships.

I was trying to flash CM13 on an LG G2 (D802), followed the instructions on the wiki and everything seemed okay. Got root access, flashed TWRP, pushed CM13 and installed it. The installation only took seconds which was strange considering the .zip was over 300 MB but oh well. Cleared Dalvik cache and rebooted, but now the phone won't do anything.

What's happening is your phone's going into QHUSB mode after the LG logo. It's not actually off, you'll still be able to see the backlight's on.
It's mounted all the phones partitions, 36 actually, on your computer so you can flash the stock images back to them without needing to do anything on your phone.
Search "QHUSB LG G2 recovery" in google, it's a piece of piss to get it working from there (If you're using linux, that is.)
I just flashed back recovery.img then recovery started working again, then I used recovery to get download mode working, then I fully flashed it from download mode.

Have you tried going into download mode instead?
By holding power/volume down with it plugged in through USB?
Then you can just download an LG recovery tool and it's easy.

DL mode is Volume Up + plug in, according to google. Didn't work.
So I've done a system reset from TWRP and flashed CM13 again, rebooted. Screen is black, backlight might be on, not sure. How long should I wait for a boot logo to show before I can pronounce the install failed? According to the flash script CM was installed successfully.
