What has /g/ build recently?

I've build a transponder-prototype for a motocross laptiming system yesterday. pic related.

PS: Yes, it's a bomb.

That's really sad btw.
/diy/ is ded and /g/ only knows how to do a fizzbuzz. fml.
Maybe I should go to reddit.

/diy/ is alive around the time Americans are awake

I could swear some months ago someone also posted about his nrf24-based motocross laptiming system.
His had a case and shit though.

Nice!
Since i have a lot nrf24l01 laying around here atm I was thinking about building a remote controlled car. Just have to figure out which engines to get and get a nice car where everything fits in.

Cool clock, Ahmed.
>>
>>53784952
To be honest, I'm not sure what motors. My car was a group project, and I was only in charge of the software portion of it, except for sonar. It was pretty fun though, because this was the first time I have ever been balls-deep in electronics and using an arduino.

Is it me or is that third 9v just chilling there?
Artificial ballast?

Rewired the inards of my bass (Jazz Bass).

1meg ohm push/pull Pot for pickup selection/volume and an additional 1meg ohm push/pull for the Tone knob with a .22uf Cap, and two other caps I forgot the resistance of for a variable tone.

Are you going to stop building your motocross laptime transponder system or whatever once someone is sufficiently impressed with it? Cause you've been posting it on diy for at least a year now.

This is a long shot but /diy/ is a dead place so might as well try. Any of you have any idea why is there only a single hot wire coming out of the breaker but there's no input hot wire/neutral hooked up at the bottom? What is going on? How does it draw power? Basically one of these fuckers started buzzing and I've been thinking about replacing it but after closely inspecting it I noticed this oddity and am curious.

Can you get a better picture?

I tried but unfortunately this is the best my shitty phone camera can do.

maybe it's shorted from behind?
>>
>>53785714
I don't think they're bridged though, for instance if I turn off the 7th one, the power goes off in my room, but if I flip it back on, and turn off the 6th one, my room's still powered.
>>
>>53785764
don't see problem with that. it's cutting only the live wire. 2nd wire (neutral) can be shared.
>>
>>53785451
Where'd you get such a nice Nixie tube mate?
>>
>>53785972
Alright, that's probably it. Now I gotta figure out why it's buzzing, could it be that one of them is buzzing because it's old? Would replacing one suffice or that's some deeper issue?
>>
>>53786209
yeah, probably dirty or worn contacts; are you sure it comes from the inside? the buzzing could be from a defficient joint between screw and wire
>>
>>53786083
ebay mostly, just search for IN-18 Nixie
They can be kinda expensive tho `
>>
>>53786428
Yep it sounds like it's coming straight out of the switch if I put my ear closer, I've got a box of these switches somewhere, gonna try to replace it later and see if the issue persists.
>>
iv 18 vfd is collecting dust on my desk, any ideas what could I make from it?
