thinking about buying a 4 years used Sony XBR-52LX900
any experience with this tv?
a little scared about some random reviews online vertical lines of death and such
It's a Sony. I'm surprised it still works after four years. Every Sony product I've ever had has stopped working.

LG is korean quality like samshit garbage at garbage price
go for panasonic or sony instead, the tv mentioned in op has excellent reviews
NX800 owner here, the two TV's are in same family
6 years and going incredibly strong here, not a single dead pixel or vertical lines like you mentioned, flawless image and the lowest latency of all TV's compared to other brands when using graphics/game mode

Not too familiar with 7900 but a friend of mine has the 6500 and if that thing is anything to judge by it's really good too, no dead pixels or any errors, latency fairly good too when playing PC games over HDMI
