The only "revolutionary" thing about it was screen size. It was a fashion accessory for special snowflakes.
They merged phones and pdas. There was no need for this, phones could continue lasting 2 weeks on one charge and pdas could improve on their own. In the end having one device for a lot of tasks is more practical, but their jewish strategies are still holding smartphones back. Why don't they improve battery technology already? Fucking dicks. It's far from perfect, but at least there's cohesion to it and all major apps adopt the style, which is not the case for Android and its splintered userbase.

Also the fact that they're so popular hurts the whole industry, no one is making actual improvements as they'll lose money on research that they won't make back in one season. The whole industry is just countering apple at this point, if iPhones get thinner, 80% of all smartphones do so too, if iPhones lose the 3.5mm jack, half of the retarded companies will probably follow, the other half will just go on like HTC (lower market share every year).

I think the next iphone design is gonna be hilarious because I'm pretty sure Samsung stole their progression path. The thin edges of the S7 edge is something I was expecting Apple to come up with first, but yet here we are with the iphone and its massive fucking bezzels all around.
I like the design of the iphone 6/6s and it really is a gorgeous device once you have one in your hands, but those fucking bezzels need to go.

This. I remember when I saw that first iPhone keynote, I was blown away. When I saw how the device did scrolling or pinch to zoom I nearly pissed myself, it was that amazing at the time. I remember Jobs said something like "Isn't that cool?" and you just knew that was his honest fucking opinion and everybody in the room was thinking the same.
The introduction of the iPhone is often compared to the iPod, iPad or even that stupid watch, but it really can't be. Still, Apple never went back to stuff like that, which is a shame.
