My C drive crashed yesterday morning, since then I've been trying to boot a copy of Windows from my bios to install it on a new hard drive that I bought yesterday. I don't have a physical copy of Windows, so I've been trying to launch the installation via a flash drive and burning an ISO to a DVD, neither worked. Any suggestions?

Right, I forgot when normies bring their laptops to geeksquad they just make suggestions on how to fix it and tell them to go home to do it themselves. No support, just suggestions. Yup.

You fucked up burning the ISO somehow would be my guess. It probably takes some special program to do it right. Don't use Windows so I wouldn't know the name tho. Google is your friend.

its actually quite easy on GNU/Linux, so long as you aren't a retard.

>Create Disk using ISO (losetup) (/dev/loop0)
>Mount Loop disk to somewhere (/mnt/1)
>Mount USB partition (/mnt/2)
>mkfs.fat32 the USB partition
>Copy all files from ISO to USB
>if its EFI, it jus werks
>if not, use LILO to write a new MBR
>mfw installer boots
