I just ran and installed two AV yesterday when I thought there was some fishy activity going on...
One of them flagged the KMSPico timer task as unnecessary (probably with thanks to Microsoft) and I could not unflag the operation, so I had to ditch the program entirely. Both flagged .dll injectors which bypass online authentication on pirated games.
Neither of them (Avast and AVG) found the worm which had made a non changeable entry to my firewall. You know what did? Using Rkill (just to be sure) and following up with adwCleaner/tdssKiller
To be fair that AVG Tune PRO program or whatever fixed a hell of a lot of shortcut, registry, and wasted space issues without causing issues or selecting false positives.

Who needs AVs these days? Windows is more secure ootb than ever. When I was using Windows, I literally never got infected (I used to run MBAM once a month just to be sure). Just don't download and run malware lmao. Defender, common sense and ublock/umatrix is all you need.

^These are reasons I hate every antivirus other than Defender/MSE. The only notification Defender will give is when they actually spotted something. Also I haven't encountered any computers that wouldn't start or connect to the internet with Defender installed, while I have fixed many of these problems by uninstalling many other antiviruses.
