I use Kodi on my PC just to see my films sorted out in some sensible way.
Fucking hell watching boring ass file list makes it hard to choose film over some plot description + poster and director.

Openelec on 20$ Allwinner H3 (Orange Pi PC) decodes h.265 at 4K. No 10bit support naturally.
Builtin IR receiver works, but only on some remotes as drivers suck.
Also CEC does not work without hacks which is a shame.

I want a box to use as a local server to host movies and game roms. I don't know much about that sort of thing but my understanding is that I can connect to a home server so that applications can use it like a normal path to load files.
What's the best thing to do that with? A raspberry pi?
