As much as I loved micro SD cards on phones ... Android is just unbearable bad these days, so it's not worth it. Sure, 64GB SE won't be able to store even half of my music but about 40-50GB should be enough for 10k tracks or so, and I listen to the same 1k most of the time either way.

I have a phone that supports that much. I have money to spend on whatever storage.
I don't even use a microSD there. Because when I go outside I don't listen to music. I don't install games on it. The only thing that takes some space (and I delete those afterwards anyways) is DriveDroid with some isos, because it's faster to use it than to use the same flash drive everytime I want to try a new distro. And I can mount 3 at the same fucking time as well.

I use my phone as a 264 gig portable hard drive, with the bonus of being lighter than an ssd, and you can perform operations or transfer that data via a suite of wireless tech such as bluetooth (good for transferring apks), NFC (media and document sharing for business), not to mention you can consume the stored content on a nice screen with an 8-core and 3 gigs of ram behind it.
