Well, this is my last resort.

So, I'll explain my situation, I used to have a shitty PC, quad-core AMD 2.3ghz, and shitty MOBO and with 4gb RAM with a GTX 560 SE and it run my games fine.
After I upgraded my PC to pic related, all my games started to crash for some reason, I've tried to change the OS (going back to Win7 Ultimate) and updating drivers and my games still crash. It only happens with "new" games like Half-Life 2 onwards when graphics and engine in games started to be improved. However this does not happen with "simple" games such as Visual Novels, indieshit and older games like Half-Life 1.
What the fuck is happening? Is this a bottleneck problem? I. don't know what to do anymore, I just wanted to play some Euro Truck and GRID.

Watching movies and using programs is fine, it's just games that crash after some minutes. Really annoying.

Can there be a RAID 1 set up with 3 disks, where 2 disks (1 TB + 2 TB) are mirrored onto a 3 TB disk?
>>
>>53744451

>>
>>53744471
Yes, in software, using disk images. But why the hell would you do that.
>>
>>53744471
yes, for example, using mdadm;

Want to buy new, bigger hard drives for backups, without leaving my 1 TB without a backup. But you're right, mixing and matching hard drive sizes is an ugly solution that doesn't change how many hard drives I would have to buy.

Speaking of which, should I use RAID 1 to protect my data or is there a better, more common option?
>>
>>53744673
-- alternatively, you could use btrfs
btrfs is flexible enough that you can throw all 3 into a raid1 and it will automatically ensure each chunk is mirrored over two of the disks

most firmwares have a key you can press during POST (before the OS starts) that will bring up a menu where you can boot from another medium one time, often f9/f11/f12, see your motherboard/laptop manual

Reposting from last thread.

I got the black screen of death on my Windows 7 earlier. No known cause, I hadn't used it in the past couple of days beforehand. I fixed the black screen itself by going into Safe Mode, but now a whole laundry list of problems sprung up. This is all the shit I'm running into:
>Safe Mode Settings: No audio, no internet, I managed to get themes to work, on-startup applications such as Skype and Steam aren't running
>Cannot run applications such as Services, Admin CMD, System Restore, and so on, in Normal mode; they simply do not launch.
>Attempting to launch aforementioned programs causes Explorer to crash; restarting it yields that it "doesn't have enough memory" to open MyDocuments, despite small and insignificant amount of procedures occuring, none over 50kb
>sfc /scannow finds errors but does not fix them

When I said that, someone told me I might have had RAM issues and suggested I run memtest. I ran one of the few I found on my computer, and it gave me an error that I couldn't run it in Win32 mode. I also had difficulty playing games I had installed on Steam; it said I needed to install a package in order to run Steam "on this version of Windows". My operating system is 64bit, and I never had these issues with running processes like Steam before my shit began to be fucked.
>>

Ok, I found it somewhere else and used it successfully, but now I only have Home Basic edition for some reason. Any way I could use the loader again to get it upgraded?

Can someone tell me which of these is the better value for the money? I need a new PC simply for browsing the web and maybe some light audio editing in Audacity.

Things I should note:
- I don't care about the HP 6005's lack of HDMI

- You can upgrade the Dell i3050's RAM up to 8GB

Kind of a long shot, but anyone have any idea why some games would do fullscreen scaling just fine in Windows 10, but when I switch over to Windows 7 (on the same PC) suddenly they do the "stick image in the center of the screen with a huge black border around it" instead of scaling properly?

Of course I do have it set to scale while maintaining aspect ratio in my GPU settings, and indeed when I manually set at the game's resolution it will do so, but when the game sets itself to fullscreen it doesn't. Irritating! I can even set to the game's native resolution, then launch the game and it will STILL go back to my monitor's native resolution and stick it in the center (though screenshots will show up as the game's proper resolution)

Anyone have any idea what to try, besides workarounds like Borderless Gaming? At my wit's end here.

Oh, also my Windows 10 installation is 64-bit and my Windows 7 installation is 32-bit, so that might have something to do with the problem but I'm not sure. Most other things are identical in both partitions.

Switched to Windows 7 because the game had a compatibility issue when it came time to play an in-game cinematic, but then W7 had its own new issue that W10 never even had, very annoying.

Honestly you're talking about a game released in 2004. I don't see how that would have a lot of trouble through WINE.

Is there a way to modify a POST request mid request?
Example
stuff=123
curl website \
-F'[email protected]' \
-F"data=$stuff" &
....
stuff=456

In that scenario it will take a while to upload the file and while it is uploading the contents of variable $stuff get changed.
I've experimented with netcat and curling to localhost, but it appears that the contents of the variables and files are stored right when the command is entered and any changes to the variables/files during the sending won't affect it.
I haven't been able to get it to work using cURL, could any other command line programs do this?

well the last time i tried to use it was on a laptop when it had this problem of it not getting beyond the initial setup stages. My desktop is not a prebuilt. But my freind installed it on his laptop.
screwed if i know why it wouldnt work last time, it just kept repeating that initial setup stage but mayeb it does have something to do with the laptop.
After i shut it down in disgust it turns out that i had somehow installed a fresh copy of win 7 on there which is what it came bundled with.
I thought it must have installed itself from its own hardrive or soemthing.

Let's see, you can laugh at me if you want, in any case I'm just wondering about this

So a while ago I switched to hackintosh for kicks. It's fairly nice for my own needs, I don't play many games nowadays and I'm not really into putting together a super customized system.

In any case, I always got the notion that Safari sucked dick because it always came up on benchmarks as something horrendous, it's always at the rock bottom, even edge now gets much more popularity. I quickly downloaded Chrome and it works the same as it does on any other system.

But then while using Safari I noticed that it didn't choke on many websites I visited the way both Chrome and Firefox did. Sure it had a few problems (specifically I watch a hitbox channel frequently and that shit doesn't work well, I have to watch webm's in different tabs, not a huge deal) but otherwise it's been silky smooth in comparison, specially when using a tool called smoothscroll provided by the same guy who has a similar extension for Chrome.

I tried in different systems and it's almost unfair that I cannot find any other browser that is so buttery smooth.

So my question is, why is this? What exactly could make a browser ignore the fact there's 20 billion pictures in a website, or links or whatever, and still scroll just fine, while others just try to work their way through? Right now I'm literally using this as a main browser, with Chrome installed -just- so I can watch that one channel. It's tearing me apart.

when you started at a site like codecademy (there are different site cant really go wrong) youll find how easy it actually is and youll understand stuff quickly
after that just ctrl + u on random websites (or inspect element on chrome, nice tool will show you where the thing you clicked on is located in source) to learn those sites structure
if you want to build sites look into Html + css ofcourse
after that javascript if you love it and want to continue go for PHP or maybe python but PHP will be better I guess

B) can be passively-cooled as far as possible
