I use a flip phone because smart phones have always creeped me out. I just don't see the benefits in light of the cons like greater ad tracking, greater opportunity for surveillance by the state, being overpowered (and consequently overpriced) for most of its selling points.

This, I've had an Android phone since 2009 but recently I'm sick of it attention whoring with notifications and the generally dismal battery life.

i'm perfectly capable of putting my phone down and not checking notifications
in fact, i always keep my phone on do not distrub, and people give me crap for not getting back to them quickly enough
