Not necessarily.
It could also beint main(void) {}
if you know that your program won't take any CLI parameters.int main() {}
defaults to main(void).

It's called programming, anon.
Programming is creating instructions a computer can execute. Coding is an alternate way of presenting (or obfuscating) information.
Programming is done by people whom are aptly called programmers, not coders.

In C, fn() and fn(void) are not equivalent.
fn(void) is no arguments.
fn() is an unspecified number of arguments (but not variable).

You are all plebs here.
I set up my own remote MySql server, then i created a webservice using php scripts.
Then i proceeded to create an android app which deploys the code i type in using the webservice.
Then, an app made in Python running on my PC queries the database and using POST retrieves the code inserted from my phone on desktop app, and saves it in a txt file.
Then i run the txt file using GCC/Javac.

You are confusing the words 'coding' and 'encoding'. Programmers are occasionally called 'coders' as they write something that will ultimately be converted to machine code. Refer to point 2 in pic related.

From C99 draft:
"The special case of an unnamed parameter of type void as the only item in the list specifies that the function has no parameters"
About empty parantheses in a function:
"As indicated by the syntax, empty parentheses in a type name are interpreted as ``function with no parameter specification'', rather than redundant parentheses around the omitted identifier. "
It turns off any parameter checking and you can pass anything. Now fuck off, pajeet.

Coding and encoding stem from the same word 'code'. The 'en-' is just a prefix that means "to cause (a subject or object) to be".
We have multiple words in our lexicon that we prefix with 'en', such as entrust, enrich, enslave.
See http://www.dictionary.com/browse/en-
Programming is a more specific description to refer to creating computer instructions. Coding may be perceived to be equivalent, but it's more of a general umbrella term that merely aims to be a non-intimidating description for beginners.
Don't buy into the buzzwords, people.

On windows visual studio enterprise- because why fucking not?
On Linux - I just like to install i3 window manager - keep half of screen with vim and the other half on one vertical side debbuging / compiling and in another box - random stuff.
With alt + 2 where I have browser or a book I research for study.
Linux itself works like an complete IDE, so no need for an ide with Linux
