A tablet powered by AMD's FX mobile 8 core chip would make an excellent hotplate to boil water for tea or ramen noodles.
A good start would be programmers who actually know how to leverage multiple cores on a system. At my work Senior Android devs see nothing wrong with doing intensive tasks on main thread, which blocks the UI, because "ugh... it's so hard to do that on a separate thread..."
