Anyone here ever use F#?
Thoughts? Opinions?
I'm looking into it and it seems pretty cool, like a better C# albeit less mature.

Stay with C#. Xamarin and Microsoft will join together which means a big market share for them. Also c# is going to be open source and truly cross-platform.
what....the.......fuck

Had to use it once for a school project
Didn't like it at all, though receiving next to no instruction in it and barely stumbling through the assignment didn't help at all

Oh, it did have some neat pattern matching and sorting functions built in though, which was nice. It was my understating that they were eventually going to be added to .Net later though.
I liked its syntax, but the => operator for mere redirection and it only working on mono turned me off from it
it's basically what would happen if fortran and lisp fucked and had an f.2 generation language

F# is open source. So is C#.

F# should run on both Mono and .NET core just fine. As is, Visual Studio ships with an F# compiler, so it certainly doesn't require Mono.
