How is a Browser slow on any modern hardware?

So you use Chrome call home?
>>
>>53727453
>How is a Browser slow on any modern hardware?
Ask Mozilla and Apple. Though to be fair, Safari is only slow on Windows.

>So you use Chrome call home?
Of course. If you really care about privacy, enjoy raping your speed and comfort with VPS and TOR. Firecuck isn't an alternative for that.
>>

Yeah, no. I like when my search engine actually finds shit.

Why treating privacy so half assed, anon? If you want any chance of staying somehow anonymous, you can't do it with Firecuck alone. And if you don't take the extra mile, while not having the best usability and pay with bits of irrelevant data for it?

Why is Xorg on GNU/Linux taking half of the resources when editing/encoding video or viewing media?

>This is due to how Xorg and DRI functions. Xorg has no architecture to handle bitmap transfers from or to the hardware; it only understands windows and points/lines. So, what modern direct rendering does, is to omit (punch holes) the Xorg protocol and make applications talk directly to kernel via userspace drivers (libdrm), trying to render directly to hardware framebuffers. This process might take quite a lot of CPU power, if you use a hardware without modern DRI support, if any of the bitmaps is still rendered off-screen via CPU.

Remind me why I should switch again?

It's not about being anonymous, it's about teaching corporations it's wrong to spy on their users and collect data. I don't want anybody reading my Internet search. If I want to watch furry porn or learn how to bake a cake it should only concerns me, nobody else.
>>
>>53728379
Do you want it text based, displayed in a terminal?
>>
>>53728839
And by spying on you and collecting data, they improve at giving you the furry porn and cake recipes faster and more precise, notify you in case of new porn being released and measuring whether that recipe you want to try is good or not. Some privacy sacrifice in form of an anonymous profile (if google got your personal data, you're doing something very wrong) seems like a decent price for better service.

Spying on somebodies PC is way too intrusive and crossing the line but the concerns when it's happening online are way too overblown.

Takes few more clicks, besides the said service would most likely use google algorithms either way.

It's inefficient to try everything yourself, if 215515 people tried it and it was shit, it's most likely not worth the time.

Every search you conduct using Google's ubiquitous search engine – for medical or mental health information, an update on your favorite mayoral candidate, the schedule of your church's potluck dinner, how to handle kids' tantrums, the cure for halitosis or the latest sex toys – allows the company to track your interests and, over time, build a detailed dossier that describes virtually every aspect of your character, food preferences, religious beliefs, medical problems, sexual inclinations, parenting challenges, political leanings and so on. In other words, when you use Google's search engine, Google's gotcha.

Even if the company doesn't know your name, it can still track your searches by reading codes, such as your IP address, that are unique to your computer or current location. Through cross-referencing, the company can eventually find your name, address, and telephone number, too. When you use the search engine or most any other Google product, Google also installs an identifier cookie on your computer that makes you easier to track. And get this: Google reads and stores every letter you type into its search bar as you are typing (think: m-a-r-i-j-u-a), so even if your good judgment suddenly kicks in and you don't hit "enter," the company still records what it thinks you were looking for.

Google uses your search history to send you personalized ads. That's how it survives, after all. About 97 percent of the company's revenues are from advertising. Google justifies this business model, which could be viewed as fundamentally deceptive, by insisting that it's providing a unique and valuable service: sending vendors your way who precisely fit your current needs and interests

Sure. So? What do I care whether I get personalized ads or random shit?

> so even if your good judgment suddenly kicks in and you don't hit "enter," the company still records what it thinks you were looking for.
And? I don't live in a third world shtihole where searches have any consequences for me.

>IP address, that are unique to your computer
Not with dynamic IP, no. Though sure there are other ways. It's still computer #24151515 without any connection to ME, unless they scan my hard drive.

>Through cross-referencing, the company can eventually find your name, address, and telephone number, too.
Adress? Hardly, only the city I am from at best. Telephone number? Well, I am using Lagdroid, so yes. So how exactly are they going to get my name from the information they got? The only way would be the ISP, which would illegal and not worth the risk for both parties. Obviously you could say that they all got deals already but going full tinfoil also means that every OS is full of NSA backdoors, killing any hope of privacy without going full neckbeard.

Now, if they can't get the information to tie their profile with me as a person, why would I care about it? No matter how complete it is, it's still user 326216216.

>>53729533
1) Holy shit, they collect when I installed the botnet!
2) Well, duh. That's a plus.
3) Somehow negative.
4) That what the RLZ identifier is for, yeah. Big deal.
5) So?
6) Because the average user is too dumb to update their browser, you can stop if you want. Also why would you?
7) Another pro that makes searching faster.
8) Like almost any software in existence? Also you can turn it off.

Simple faggot, remove url's tracking with an addon or use startpage / disconnect.

Also blend it with your browser fingerprinting among the majority.

Disable java-script and fucking use a vpn if you're such an important VIP who's private data is crucial for corporations.

Only investment is at max 50$ / year for a quality vpn if you want to have persistent speed, other is just free - click-download works out-of-the-box
>>
>>53729709
>Not with dynamic IP, no.

Yes with dynamic IP you have a specific chain of IP's which will repeat, at least a specific part of those IP's so with fingerprinting and other techniques you're still the same person, even when you restart - unless you invest time to remove fingerprinting and use a vpn.
>>
>>53730925
I don't think the intelligence of a poster has much bearing for the speed of a browser. If you don't notice how slow Firecuck is compared to pretty much any other browser, you're probably the kind who still uses HDD as boot drive too.

Well, even so, the most crucial step is linking the google profile to an actual person and this needs more than IP, or any other computer identifier. Extra points if it's legal.
