I've had various layouts over the years. Currently I keep my phone in right pocket with knife clipped in right pocket. Left pocket is either empty or has one of my 3DSs and/or my keychain.

Only occasionally carry a wallet. I've been wearing pajama pants a lot lately so I just carry less in general. My good pants have zipper pockets and cargo zipper pockets, etc.

I've never heard of a credit card that held the owner liable for fraudulent purchases. This (and the accumulation of good credit history) is the primary function of credit cards - to shift that responsibility.

my wallet is pretty thin. I can't fathom how long i would have to sit in this chair for a spine issue to emerge.

if you have a substantive wallet and you sit for long periods of time, just put your wallet in your bag (messenger, backpack, whatever, i really don't care and don't be a faggot and tell me what your preference is because i really really don't care) and just grab it if/when you go somewhere.

This is my wallet with 5 cards and 3 bills, with a normal-sized card adjacent as a reference of sorts.

This is enough for 2 credit cards, a state ID, a transit card, some cash, and in this case a debit card for some freak incidents like a trip to Costco (costco card and driver's license are in my car and other cards are similarly in the places that they're more likely to be necessary, not necessarily with me).

Still, if this is enough to be considered a spine-endangering depth, then why not just put it in your bag or something?

I'm trying to imagine a job that has you coming to work without a laptop, but this would be easier if you just told me what your job was. I'm not interested in taking shots in the dark imagining every job that *might* involve you sitting for long periods of time but not bringing stuff with you.

>what about outside of work?
How long are you sitting outside of work and home (I'm excluding home because I assume you feel comfortable enough putting your wallet someplace at home, but if I'm wrong then feel free to correct me in the interim while you find a safer place to live).

The longest I'm seated outside of home and work is generally at a cinema or something, and that's only ~2 hours. And not frequent enough to necessitate changing where you put your wallet long term (unless you watch movies a lot).

Because they're useful. Try opening some of these entombed in plastic packaged items without one. Cutting wire or rope is tricky just using your bare hands. Opening a box is also shit tons easier with one too.

More often than you'd think, with everything packaged for lunar transport these days. Even if you don't need it daily, there are times that you do, or your woman does, and you're glad you have it. Plus it's not a two handed broadsword. Just a folding blade on your pocket that doesn't take up much space and isn't even noticed by others.
>>
>>53728666
That's fine if you want to, but it looks dorky. If you're putting it in your front pocket because of some concern about your spine, it sounds like you're dealing with some bigger issue that needs addressing.

>>53728683
Where are you sitting for 8 hours a day outside of work and home? Are you hanging out at coffee shops or something?

>>53728688
I do, I just don't sit that much when I party. It never occurred to me to be worried about the displacement of my wallet in my back pocket while at a party. You should get up and play drinking games with people or something.

>>53728703
Okay. It just seemed like this thread was becoming a pretty big deal for people and the people getting pretty defensive about this made it seem like it was a pretty important decision for some people.

I don't. I have everything in my backpack.
I keep getting myself into situations where i have to run each time i'm outside, whether running after a trolleybus, bus, or tram in order not to have to wait for the next one,
or having a sudden urge to just run as if to empty frustrations and shit.
So i stuff all my shit into a backpack out of fear that things would fall out of my pockets.
That way i can also have a bottle of water with me, some sandwich if i get hungry, and always have an extending mini-umbrella picking up dust in the backpack just in case the weather decides to take a piss on me.

Do not need to carry because live in civilized society: knife, gun, etc (knife is carried on hikes, left in car for utilitarian purposes. Gun is used at shooting range but never leaves home otherwise)

Do not carry because not a sperg: flashlight (have a phone, stupid redundancy), portable gaming device, pens, pencils, etc

It really sounds worse than it actually is. But I work nights, so I use the flashlight fairly often, and the knife is used almost daily for all sorts of stuff. The only thing I carry and have yet to put to practical use is my snubbie and extra ammo.

But again, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it
