Solid components. If you wanna get a new PSU, try out one of those new titanium rated ones, I think EVGA sells them relatively cheaply. You'll get something like 91% power efficiency. I believe Bitfenix also sells a PSU that comes with fully sleeved cables

do it senpai, shit's worth it

how are import taxes in boludolandia anyway?

over here if you import anything thats over 200 dollaroos you have to pay half the price of the item in taxes + whatever the courier charges you

that's why you stick to orders under 200 usd and anything over that you try to get a connect at customs

needless to say the dude I bought my 980 ti from wasn't the most reputable person in the world (paid $750, importing it could have easily cost me $1200).

>>
>>53733231
yeah, the mounts on my Motherboard got fucked up by a Zalman cooler. Might be that
>>
>>53733373

So a bit of explaining is necessary. Like I said, I changed a bunch with this rig, primarily the case and fans. Here is the 88R build: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Wnf8TW

I didn't like it because it had shitty filtering, so I went back to the V21: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/6HccCJ

I didn't like the fan configuration, so I changed it: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/kQr7YJ

Once again, I ended up not liking the fan configuration and went back to the original setup (except I switched out the two side intake Riing fans for Luna fans). I didn't bother reposting the way I have it currently because it feels redundant at this point. If I'm ever going to post this build again, it's going to have to be with some new shit in it like a custom loop or something.

Anyway, yeah my name is Corey. Yay, Internet.

Got a 290X, because my 280X had artifacts (covered by warranty,so it costed me 100$ to upgrade). Like it so far and it never gets too hot or loud

Might get a new PSU soon for more silence and reliability

Would definetly like a case with "rubber holes" for the cables and a nice side window (currentyl have the cm storm sniper, so the cablemanagment isnt that easy)

Also, rate

upgrade that CPU before the PSU

well, for the case the cables are alright so 6/10. Just tuck things like Molex behind stuff, and maybe cover those white front panel cables in electrical tape so they blend in better
>>
>>53733742
>upgrade that CPU before the PSU
Meh, why?

The 1090T might be a bit older, but at 4Ghz it should still be equitable with a lower end i5. Meaning perfectly fine for all but the most CPU demanding games.

Besides, a CPU upgrade would be CPU and motherboard($250+ easy). A PSU upgrade can be like $75 if you find a good sale on a modular unit

Even if someone took the time to find my personal info, there wouldn't be too much to do with it. Maybe crack one of my accounts and shitpost all over the place. Kinda taking the piss out of it, but I really couldn't be bothered.
>>
>>53733742

cpu will be upgraded as soon I need to. Right now it is fine for me.
might even get a liquid cooler to push that beast even further (i can reuse the cooler if I upgrade)

Im gonna get some paint soon, so i will paint some of the cables, im hating the red/yellow fan cables

The PSU is annoying as it is by far the loudest part in your system. If I get a new one i might aswell get a bigger one for eventual crossfire. Also a modular psu would be great
>>
>>53733902

In terms of gaming performance, the 1090T is a bit behind the i5 4460 (at stock for both), so you should be fine. I wouldn't really want to have that PSU for much longer considering how old it obviously is.
>>
>>53733902
>i might aswell get a bigger one for eventual crossfire
Just so you're aware, newer GPUs are far more power efficient.

You can run 2 GTX 980Ti in SLI on a good 600w PSU. (and this is on an OC'd I7 with 32GB of RAM)
>>
>>53733934
yeah, looked at a new psu, but I am not sure if I should get a normal or a big crossfire psu,as the 290x (and the overclock) draw quite a lot of power.
Also the cables on this PSU are pretty ugly.

Besides I could get a better case, a better cpu, a second gpu, but you always have to ask yourself if you really need it.

>>
>>53734430
It manages most things fine. It has driver issues with running two ultra wide. It has even played games on a 2k screen for shit and giggles. But its low power and comparable too the HD 4600, so its a nice cheap card to take a load off the cpu.

>>

I don't have any personal experience with it, but it's definitely not a bad case. There's a good amount of customization you can do with it. You should be pretty happy with it if you like towers.
>>
>>53734491
I havent really looked into it, but the things i want are:

-rubber grommets very important)
-Windowed Side Panel
-Good Airflow (for the 290X), while not being loud
-black
-good price (i'm a student)

something like the fractal design r5, but i dont know if it is justified to spend 100$ on something i dont absolutely need (i probably need to get a new psu ).

I might look into modding my existing case (Windowed side panel, painting, custom rubber grometts, will see about that).

I built a client's PC in a Define S. For the money it's fantastic. The customer only went with a CLC setup for now, but the Define S leaves room later on for a custom loop.

Having a case with cable management designed helps. So do zip ties. Even if you keep everything relatively together, it'll look much better. I have absolutely zero space for management, yet I still have all the standard cables, and more. 24-pin, 4+4-pin, 2x 6+2-pins, 4x SATA Power daisy chain, 3x SATA data cables, and some extenders and splitters for fan cables.
