Why haven't you overclocked your monitor yet, /g/?
Because it skips frames like a motherfucker if I go up even 15 hz.
reduces lifespan of hardware

Why would I want to do that?
>overclocking your monitor
Is this seriously a thing?
why should i
im never gonna be able to type more than 60 characters per second
>>53717464
I have, it's the first thing I did with my new monitor. Got it up to 75hz easily. Did the same with my old monitor, and that was some ten year old Acer monitor.
>>53717464
>not overclocking your mouse for improved FPS aiming
do you plebs around here even overclock your mousepads ?
because it's already 144hz
>>53719886
I tried it once, but didn't have the reflexes to keep my mouse still on it. I did hear that mastery can be beneficial though
>>53717464
Why would I want to do that?
This is totally unnecessary
>when you overclock your wifi adapter, but still get sub-70MB/s
feel with me lads
>Dell P2414H
>overclock it to 80Hz
>backlight starts flickering randomly after two weeks of use
>used to occur a few more weeks after I downclocked it but it seems to have stopped
>mfw I saw 80Hz and 60Hz is now pain
Hold me /g/
How I can verify its working? Thinking of going from 96z to 120Hz
I don't really play games, and movies are produced at like 24-48FPS these days so there's no reason to overclock it. Why have you overclocked your monitor OP?
>>53717464
How do I overclock my monitor? Also previously my monitor allowed me to change my refresh rate to 75hz since upgrading my GPU it will only allow me to use 60hz
>overclocking your monitor
What is this 2010+5?
Why not just overclock your fucking eyes you normal fag
You can't on a 4k UHD monitor.
>>53717464
i did, it started stuttering every few hertz.
i guess it would be cool to have fast monitor, i still connect my old crt from time to time just to play q3a in >100hz - but then again, it's definitely not something worth additional money and i'd rather pay extra for proper colors/better matrix type than additional hz.
>>53717464
because i didnt buy a piece of chinese shit
>>53719428
Most monitors easily last 30 years. You're going to replace it before you notice the "reduced lifespan".
I'm happy with 60hz.
>>53720761
do you mean old crt monitors? modern monitors break after few years
