RAR files need archival software capable of handling them and the obvious first choice for normalfags is WinRAR because it literally has RAR in the name and its one of the first choices if you search for RAR files. WinRAR is also the only one capable of creating RAR archives so normalfags would probably be drawn to it for that reason as well if they haven't discovered 7zip.
