I've got two chinkphones I need to run faster and smoother.
First one: Huawei P8 Lite, 8x A53 1.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 720p. Just updated to 5.0.1. The whole UI is laggy.
Second one: Lenovo S60, 4x A53 1.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 720p. Brand fucking new phone, updated to 5.0.2, deleted all preinstalled apps and tried to make it look as stock as possible.
Is there any other way to make the just run smoother and less jittery in general? My dad and brother would be thankful.
Also, it's 2016 and I expected mid-range Androids to be faster than I remember my 2012 S3 to be, and I won't even compare them to my 6S... they're even slower than a Lumia 535.

840 is usable-tier (22nm instead of the 16nm of the EVO). I bought mine in 2013 for 150$ and I had to reimage it recently to get back speed. I do not write a lot to it so I could afford such intensive write, but it's certainly not ideal. I'm still a bit salty and trying to educate people.
For longevity, I recommand 40nm TLC (850 series) or MLC SSDs (840 Pro is MLC). It's going to cost you more probably.
Be careful, crooks at Crucial and such have been re-using the faulty 840 series chips to make cheap SSDs.
