Which language would you use to code games?

I'm going to be completely honest with you
just go get Game Maker and Unity. Engines are here to provide the means so idiots like me and you don't have code our own tools to design a game. Save some time

In this day and age it's actually kind of silly to make your own engine. Look into unity, unreal engine 4, or cryengine. They are powerful tools and have pretty sweet licenses nowadays.

C/C++, C#/Unity, Javascript/Canvas.
Depends on your target platform and game type.
An example of game written in C: http://pastebin.com/AcmcNzMX

just to add: unity and unreal use c#/c++ for scripting
Whitespace is the only relevant language.

What this guy said. There is a golden rule, don't reinvent the wheel.

if you want your own engine python + C
also most 3d programs use extensions coded in python
lumberyard
If you want to write games for REAL people THAT MATTER, write it in Swift.
