Post recent purchases that you've been delighted with.

Has a poop-ish resolution but completely worth the buy, provided you don't lose the charger.

My 2012 Nexus 7 died a couple of weeks ago. Or, rather, I woke up one day and the screen was cracked for no apparent reason. Bought an LG G Pad 7 (v400) as a replacement. £50, sold as used, was just open box and not used at all. I love when that happens, still had the in-transit screen protector on and everything.

Decent little thing. All I really want in an Android tablet. Mainly use it for reading (Google Play Books) and v light browsing. Also Pokemon Shuffle. Cyanogenmod support is cool, got Marshmallow on it with CM13 which is faster than the stock ROM and allows for adoptable SD storage, which it needs given that it only has 8GB of internal storage. TWRP for this thing is a bit dodgy though. I'm thinking of forgoing adoptable storage and switching back to the stock ROM.

Worst part about it is only 1GB RAM. Constantly killing apps in the background so trying to multitask is not fun. Fine for £50 and light use though. Good battery life too, about 8 hours SOT.

>LG G Pad 7
This thing was buzzing when it came out, rightly so.

Nexus 7 is a worthy successor. 3 years old and still the best android tab in it's size.

If I wanted something bigger I guess I'd get a win tab since I just read news/books, watch yt occasionally and text edit on Android.

I feel like you misunderstood? I bought a G Pad 7 to replace my 2012 Nexus 7, not the other way around.

Bought a Gear S2 Classic a couple months back. Price was kind of steep, but I'd been looking for a good smartwatch for a while and this was the first one that just ticked all the boxes for me.

I get about two days from the battery and it actually looks like a regular, mundane wristwatch unlike Samsung's previous watches. The bezel control is neat, too. Pretty happy with it overall.

Ahaa yes, that's what I figured. I did look at getting the 2013 Nexus 7 after my 2012 died as yeah, still one of the best tablets in its class, but it was still more than I really wanted to spend as I don't used tablets much at all.
>>
>>53699046
Jeez, that looks anemic. When'd you buy it?

the Tizen watch interface is actually really nice, fampai

I'm sure Android has the advantage for app support but I really only need it for checking time, weather, controlling music and dem notifications.

Sorry for the extremely l8 reply but I've had this for maybe 3 weeks now

Pros:
>Battery life is GOAT
>Color is very vibrant and the backlight is very flexible, can get decently bright and dim (indoors)
>IPS desplay
>Very decent proc, only limitation to many people here would be vid editing and compiling, maybe (never used Linux on it so I'd like to see it's performance then)
>4 Gig RAM on a Win10 tab something that cost me like $215
>x64 UEFI
>Metal enclosure
>USB-c
>m-HDMI
>SSD (not eemc POS)
>came with keyboard dock

Cons
>1280 x 800 res
>>in 2016
>Display isn't stellar in direct SL
>a bit heavy. but it's metal so expect that
> not enough full USBs (1)
>Speakers are ok...
>no battery in keybaord dock

I had the t100ta and it's nothing like this one. The TA was absolute shit and lasted 3 weeks of headache. I'm extremely surprised with this thing, one other caveat is that I can't install (at least) ubuntu yet...

What about the IGPU perfomance?
>>
>>53703545
>IGPU

Well I don't play gaymes on it much but I've played Isaac well with the cfg filed eddited for performance

Risk of rain plays like shit when it's on batery saver, unremarkable unless on low

Streamed Hot pursuit and was nearly unplayable

Hearthstone plays decent on medium, never tried high.

So I can't vouch for it much, r8ing the igpu wasn't even on my mind till you mentioned because I don't game much desu. maybe check youtube or notebook check?
>>
>>53703759
But can you play high bitrate videos without problems?

Maybe im asking too much out a single 2-1 tablet but im interested on a really lightweight laptop.

The last atom CPU i used was horrible but it was a single core one on an asus eepc years ago.

All im going to use it for will be Netbeans, MS Office and watch Streams.
Which i know this "laptop" is more than enough for cheap.
The fact it doesn't have a HDD makes me doubt about it, im sure i will use more than 150GB.

I can get a dell laptop with a I3 for $40 more but its 1kg heavier.
