Let's put it into a different perspective and say nice things about it
-It integrates "well enough" with some internet services such as those from google (even though it tries to shove bing up your throat every 5 seconds)
-It has task view which is an ok thing to have but has been done on different systems for decades now
-If you have a multimonitor setup you can snap windows just fine
-You can also do this with 4 windows instead of 2
-I guess maybe a few games will try to take advantage of dx12? I mean, shit. There's not even enough data on that.
-It has a notification center (again, something that OSX has had for a while)

Guess yes, test an os at the end of his life cycle, with many updates over its core... with drivers being optimized for it all its life against an young OS which had many drivers optimization problem back then.

We're comparing between windows versions in any case, whether linux steps on them at some tasks or not.
There's some benchmarks out there showing maybe like ~1FPS difference between all three last Windows releases at this point in time which makes me think that while 10 ain't much worse, it isn't much better either. It's about the same fucking thing in terms of performance.
