T-Mobile Note 4. Got it for cheap from a friend about 6 months ago.

My personal experience with this phone is pretty good but I wish the headphone output was a tad louder, I also wish it could do RAW or Long exposures, and I wish there was more stable Cyanogenmod for it, stuck on Touchwiz-based crap because of that.

Another thing is I see no point in the phones from 2015 or early 2016, they really don't seem to be an upgrade from this at all. SoCs are a bit faster, Screens are the same res, Cameras are a little better in low light, same amount of RAM... but the worst part is the non-removable battery and no MicroSD card fad everyone is doing... and it really upsets me that Samsung is getting rid of useful features like IR blasters and HDMI out (MHL) on their new phones.

Also yes i need to put a new screen protector on this thing!

Moto G 2014

It works. Sometime it stutters when recording video. the microphone crackes on the phone. Apps open slowly sometimes.

I paid $80 for it so I don't really care. it's better than many "budget phones" and it got the new OTA update.

Original galaxy note running Android M. Four years old now. It's quite slow, the camera could be better, but it's still doing the job.

What network & where? I'm on AT&T in the US and considering the Oneplus X. I'm pretty turned off by the lack of LTE support in the US, though, so I'm not sure if it's something I still want to buy. I prefer it over the Oneplus 2 - the X has removable storage, OLED screen, better battery, no physical buttons, etc.
I don't game, I doubt I'll get into gaming, so that wouldn't bother me. I'm mainly concerned about having a usable Android device with a decent screen (OLED, 400+ PPI) and with at least 120fps video.

For the price, that phone seems super tempting. There might not even be a better alternative. They just really fucked us in the US by providing next to no LTE support.

I used to have a Moto G (1st gen), which was pretty good at the beginning, but after a few months of use it became a slow fcker. I bought it when it was released in Brazil.

But like you must be wondering, I'm brazilian and get robbed a few weeks ago. Now, I ordered a LG G3 online, which I must receive this monday...

It's an awesome idea executed pretty decently. I can see any new notification at a glance and reply to messages from the e-ink screen. Set any wallpaper and it won't consumme extra battery. I can use normal android on e-ink too.
It's a shame it has not got a big hype when its surely a revolutionary concept in the smartphone industry. Sadly now is all about marketing and resolution and cpu pissing contest, not innovation.

lumia 640xl.jpg

I've had a Lumia 640XL for about 6 months now, not really enjoying it as much as I'd hoped.
The one positive thing I can say for it is that I hardly ever have to charge the thing. I don't know if that's due to lack of use (I really can't find any useful apps, aside from Checkers and Go, maybe), or because of a low power draw, but I charge it maybe twice a week, and I'm not using any special power-saving apps.

Other than that one big pro, I can't say much for the thing. The internet browsers on it are severely lacking. I use UCBrowser the majority of the time, but the constant ads bug the heck out of me (with no paid option). I don't mind paying for a browser, but refuse to buy multiple browsers just to test whether or not I'll like them, and with the limited number of reviews, it's hard to download something based on a high rating.

The maps feature is absolutely dogshit. If you rely on public transportation (living in the bay or LA) you should not buy this phone. The routes it tells you to take will often times be wrong and send you to the wrong place. Not only that, but you have to jump through multiple hoops just to get to the public-transportation options. It's nothing like Google Maps on Android devices.

The Uber app must rely on the Maps app for some features, as it will often times refuse to load, or won't confirm that I've requested a driver, only to send me a text minutes after trying to order a ride that my driver is on the way. This has caused me to avoid the Uber app altogether, as those $5.00 cancellation fees can add up quickly.

The number of useful apps on the store is not only low, but they're dwindling. If you manage to find a nice and useful app, it will probably lose support within months. I'm not sure why developers are doing this, but it's a frustrating trend and doesn't seem to be improving.

I wanted a basic smartphone that had maps for public transport. The only feature I really cared about doesn't work. This phone was a mistake.

I'm being offered a brand new 5s trade but it has yellowish screen. I've read that it goes away as screen burns but not quite sure about that one, some say that apple sources from different manufacturer's and it's kinda like lottery

LG G4
It's not bad, but it just feels like overkill for what I need. I don't really do anything on it I couldn't do on my old Galaxy Nexus.

In fact, I was I was thinking about selling it and downgrading to a note 3 (since it's rootable on Verizon, has a bigger screen and that fancy stylus, and I could use the excess dosh from selling the g4 to get one of those kickass 10,000 mah batteries). I think the only thing I'd really miss is the G4's god-tier camera. Is this a stupid idea?
>>

Have a Note 4 pretty based smartphone and future proof, use it for all kinds of stuff.

But as with smartphones seems pretty limited, if it had something like Microsoft Continuum and was a Windows phone with as much software support as android it would be the best thing for using with a desktop PC I would have everything.

Blu Life One X (2016 edition)

The triband GS3 I had before it did the job fine for me so my standards were pretty damn low. For my needs, this thing is great. Doesn't lag at all, firmware is very close to stock (what little stuff that could be considered bloat on it uninstalled without any problem), and the screen looks fantastic.

And I want to replace it. I thought I'd like something with a significantly larger screen than the S3, but that's not the case; this phone is awkward to handle, and I pretty much never do anything on it that really benefits from such a large screen. (the S3 was fine for web browsing and the few games I play.) Thinking about getting an S4 or one of the Xperia compact phones.

Japan, actually. Yotaphone isn't available in Japan, so I'm pretty sure it won't have the Japan-only certification. major carriers actually check if you bring your own device, and refuse service.

I'm researching now if I could just dodge the major carriers and use a prepaid sim instead.

I understand some international phones have it, but not all. I think it mostly depends on if the same model is sold in both Japan and America/Europe.

Please help me decide, pham.

I'm not really looking to spend anything higher than a Nexus 5.
Moto G 1st gen is only decent looking of the lot, but I can do better than that- so no on the G.
Nexus 4 and 1st Gen Moto X are neck and neck with Nexus 5 barely hanging on as an option, as it seems a bit big.
A decent camera would be nice.
Any suggestions?

Phones currently in use:
1) Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Sent it back to the manufacturer to get fixed for back camera and headphone jack issues. It's stock android plus Sony's bloat. I don't like it too much for that but the rest of it is great.
2) HTC One (M7): Currently in use while I wait for the Z3 Compact. If the camera weren't dogshit I'd use this phone all the time. Seriously my only problem. I love Sense
3) Nexus 5X: Currently waiting to get delivered to my office at work, so it'll hopefully be there Monday. Going to use this as a developer phone. I don't like stock Android but if anything happens to my Z3 Compact I'll use this in the meantime
4) Nokia Lumia 640: Currently on its way to my apartment from bestbuy, it was $30, $40 with taxes and shipping included. It's going to be my Windows phone dev phone. It'll be great. I love Windows Phone, but there are like 3 key functionalities keeping it from being my main phone OS.

Future: If the HTC 10's camera is good, I'll get one sometime this year when there's a good HTC deal going on. Love Sense but I need a good camera
