Post your favourite colorscheme for coding!
>>53683950
love your dark neon style colors.... :)
Current colorscheme which is pretty basic.
Don't really have a favorite one since I'm never satisfied. But I do also like Solarized Dark, Kobalt, Oblivion and Noway Today (from netbeans when coding java).
Gruvbox
Can't be bothered to get a screenshot, works a treat with flux too
Standard visual studio dark color scheme.
Always

this one is decent, but the light green as in List and Console is really hard to tell apart from white if you're colour blind

This.
I have tried out a LOT of color schemes and given them a fair look, but it seems like Solarized (the dark version in particular, with a font like consolas or source code pro) is the only one I can stand.
Anything else triggers my autism.

Low contrast dark background is the only answer ever
As far as I can tell, I'd have to create a colour scheme myself with Code::Blocks, so I just use the default.

Its not too bad, the next level up from writing your own make files.
Whats wrong with it?

Your colors are pretty good. Just try changing your background for something like #1E1E1E or #272822. You will love it :)
>>53689492
It's not bad, but I found its code completion and profiling to be subpar, not to mention not-so-great gdb integration as well.
Supporting different toolchains, build systems, and targets are bigger pains than they should be, and customization isn't great either, IMO.
Sure, if you are just starting out and learning, then it doesn't make a difference what you use, as long as you can compile.
However, as you start working on larger projects, you may start to notice some of code::blocks's inherent deficiencies.
Makefiles are hard to deal with in the beginning, but they will serve you better in the long term.
For C programming, I use GNU make and emacs with a few plugins for autocompletion, on-the-fly syntax checking, and other nice tools that make my life easier.
Also, emacs has unparalleled gdb integration.
Pic related. Not my exact setup, but similar.
:)
So much love for Monkai
Solarized light a best.
Rust seems nice so far.
"Seahorse" in pic, I also kinda like "Material theme".

My favorite
It's called "Black" apparently. It's ok, I don't usually mess with color themes and usually disable syntax highlighting.
>>53689611
Love solar. I switch between dark and light depending on time of day.
Anybody else do this? I just think white in a dark room or dark in a lit room strains my eyes
>>53690449
yup, white background on room with good illumination and dark background when working with low light or no lights.
>>53690337
how do you not kill your eyes with this insane contrast

>implying I don't use linux too with the same theme and vimrc
>>53689104
He's using relativenumber, which sets the line numbers for the distance away from the cursor they are.
It's really useful for jumping around and being able to instantly be all "ah, I need to hit 38j" because the thing I want to edit is that many lines away.
All white everything

I don't like low-contrast themes. I like things clear

What's the package name? I couldn't find a theme named "base16 flat dark".
Also, are you using language-babel or is this the regular js syntax?
This one is pretty schway. I use it with Python.

Why does everyone like dark themes so much? I use solarized light + redshift and it doesn't strain my eyes at all.
>>53683950

>>53695342
Strain depends on your room's lighting. If it's well-lit you should have no issues with bright themes.

I don't have the autism necessary to spend all my time looking at color schemes and setting them up to try and find one that looks good and doesn't trigger /g/ for being too popular.
