So on spotify, if i can play songs offline, can i not transfer them as mp3/mp4/whatever to any other media player? Aren't i in complete possession?

And if someone shuts down the internet, and spotify ceases to exist, will it still play the music i put offline forever?
>>
i just want to be able to download a shit-ton of high quality music that isn't tied to the internet, is that to much to ask these day?

I used to use mp3skull and other similar sites a while back. But i now have a list of songs 1000 deep and I'll probably have to waste a whole fucking week finding good torrent/website downloads.

google play music app has a bug where (̲Y̲o̲u̲)̲ get half your downloads can get deleted if (̲Y̲o̲u̲)̲ reboot your phone.
Purchased and free music (̲Y̲o̲u̲)̲ are able to transfer to other devices.
Subscribers can download as much as (̲Y̲o̲u̲)̲want to listen offline, but it's drm protected to only play on the one device. Can't even put sd card with downloads in another device and play music.

I just use my stereo mix and sound recorder to save all of the files into an MP3 format.

I don't notice a quality downgrade.

They're encrypted and can only be played back by Spotify. Spotify will also require you to connect to the internet after a month or so.
The only way to save songs from Spotify is to record them yourself using something like Audacity or some other program.

What is the best free streaming service now that netease can't play many tracks?

the only moronic thing about all this is your oxydized brain

we know very well what streaming refers to in this context. no place for fiddling with semantics.
