Would a 54mbps router be too slow for streaming from a NAS?
Works fine if I'm the only one using it, barely. I would play it safe and get something better.
Cute pic. Bumping due to cuteness.
What are you streaming?
54mbps=~6MB/s
A typical animuu is less than a MB/s, so you should be fine.

Video, I'm mostly concerned about my 1080p anime

Whats the average kbps?
I have a 2 hours 40 minutes anime movie that's 720. Its roughly 1800 kilobits per second or around 0.25 Megabyte per second video data
Assume 1080 is roughly twice that, thats 0.5 Megabytes per second transfer.
So that should be more than enough.

Streaming in 1080p should be a minimum of 3500 nitrate.
>>53666450
the highest bitrate i could find in all my anime
>>53666936
2.7 Megabyte per second
Easily fits within 54 mbps (6.5Megabytes per second)

Depends on your security clearance.
A 20 minute 1080 anime episode is about 500 MB. That's 25 MB/minute, which is about 0.5 MB/second. 54Mb is about 6MB.
So theoretically it should be plenty fast.
>>53665860
no, provided the media being streamed has a total bandwidth less than the network bandwidth available
>>53666936
might be pushing it
keep in mind that unlike ethernet, wifi has huge overhead, and the 54Mb/s includes overhead, and is theoretical speed and assumed perfect signal

Not muh 1080 dual flac BD rips

Just upgrade your router fag, $20 300 mbps
