Me and my Asus laugh at your pitiful attempt at a laptop.
>>

Very good discount but the 128gb SSD is way too small.

If it had a 256gb I would eat this shit up.

My current Asus laptop is an i7, nvidia 950M with 12GB ram and a 250GB SDD and I spent $800.

I really don't get you apple guys.

What a joke. Do macfaggots seriously buy this shit? Save me, scat man.
>>
>>53647800
Does your chink shit laptop have the same reliability and service as Macbooks?
>>
>>53647696
Is this 2015 version? Pretty alright then and 128GB isn't that bad if you know how to work around it.

>>53647713
That'd be pretty surprising, rMBP got one of the best specs for an ultrabook, since it uses a 25W CPU.

If your Asus isn't an ultrabook ... you're not really understanding the point of a laptop.

""""laptop"""""
>>
>>53647713
Well, contrary to your asus chinktop a macbook (or any decent laptop) doesn't fall apart if you look at it from the wrong angle.
>>
When will people get that laptops are not about muh specs?
In high end laptops you pay for input devices, build quality, display and stuff like that, you can't compare that with your cheap ass asus/acer/medion/whatever piece of trash.
>>
>>53647980
Most people know it. Only gaymerfags and shills bitch about specs.
>>
>>53647951
No laptop does. Stop making up hyperboles to justify an overpriced laptop.

>>53647980
I'll give you build quality and decent display (which you can obviously compare), but call me when Apple makes a laptop that doesn't have a bottom-of-the-barrel keyboard.
>In high end laptops you pay for input devices
I'm surprised you'd bring this up, considering the latest Macbook has 2 ports, 1 of them being the headphone jack. So much input.

Macbook keyboards are universally praised. You might personally dislike them and it's okay but denying their obvious quality makes you look pretty autistic.

Also how the fuck are ports related to input devices? I am pretty sure the anon meant the godly trackpad.

I have that same rMBP and just have a flush 200gb flash drive in the usb. Apps on the ssd and files on the ubs. Works fine.

It's just a fucking keyboard it either works or not, what's to praise? Homo

Input devices are not ports, anon.
Also the Macbook has a top tier keyboard, one of the best on the laptop market.
Look at any high end laptop (Macbook, Dell XPS/Latitude, Thinkpad X/T/W, HP Pro/Elitebook) they are very similar when it comes to price/performance ratio.
Macbooks are probably the most competetively priced apple product. And they have by far the highest resell value.
>>
>>53650018
16:9 trash doesn't need to apply. This even ignores the countless hardware issues.
>>
>>53647696
You can find it on eBay for around $900
>>
>>53650018
Worse display, worse keyboard, worse trackpad, worse build quality.
The XPS is good but not better than a macbook.
>>
I'd get it if I was rich.

It's not that hard to take apart an Apple device and put your own SSD in it if you're brave. However, the warranty goes out the trash (and so does the device if you mess things up).

I put a SSD in my late 2014 Mac. To get to the drive, every single piece of anything screwed to anything had to be removed. The hard drive was like checkered line at the end of the marathon. Putting the parts back together is just everything in reverse. Visual notes help.

>>
>>53651696
I know what you mean but Apple refurbished is different. They're practically brand new and most are just returned products.

I bought a refurbished 27" 5k iMac 2 months ago and saved nearly $300. Works great and has the same warranty as a new iMac.
>>
>>53651758
well, shit..
>>
>>53647848
Really?
Are you serious with this?
Thinkpad is literally the name of reliability in the industry. They send them to SPACE.
Service is LITERALLY ANYWHERE. There are more computer stores than Apple stores and they are designed to be worked on by anyone, including the user.
>>
>>53651462
>buying an ipod
>buying a base model mac
are you literally retarded?
>>53651696
yes, you are retarded
>>
>>53651863
Nothing wrong with the base model, not everybody needs a bigger drive, anon, and 8GB RAM is plenty on OSX for laptop-centric tasks.
>>
>>53651797
Gotta quit being stupid bruh and learn to appreciate value, especially for something like a Mac. There's no shame in a refurbished Mac since they're guaranteed by Apple. Same thing as a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz.

Would you rather buy an used Merc from craigslist or a certified used vehicle from the MB dealership? Same thing with Apple computers.
>>
>>53651831
Thinkpads are actually build to break and be fixed. Hence why they're so serviceable. MacBooks aren't, so they're over engineered because let's face it, who would want to repair one?
They don't take MacBooks out in the field just incase they do break. If they do, logistically it's easier (and cheaper due to business outage) to buy a new one. That's not a viable solution for some businesses such as fucking space. UPS don't deliver up there yet.

120GB HDD here with 34GB free or so. Never had any problems. My desktop has a 160GB HDD.

>>
>>53651978
right?
worst case scenario i'll get a fuckin 64/128gb memory card
>>
>>53651909
They're built to be fixed, not built TO break. They CAN account for what's LIKELY to break and make it easily serviceable but that's not the same thing as building something TO break.
Macbooks make concessions for the sake of design but also to ensure that people will not try to fix them themselves. They always encourage people to just bring them to a store where they do a data transfer and a device replace.
They don't take Macbooks into the field because they aren't durable or made for a situation outside of book bag and dry, room temperature table.

I'm not against Apple, but don't falsify the facts.
