Hey /g/
okay so I'm not sure if this belongs here, or in /sci/, so forgive me. Earlier yesterday, i took apart a used up stick lighter, simply to see what made that spark to light the gas. Piezoelectric generator is what I found, but for the life of me, I can't find an accurate description on just how much voltage and amps this thing makes.
Could anyone here help me out?
What kind of fedora lighter uses this to light the flame?
VOLTS十分多, aber eine geringe Menge Strom.

Any gas station click lighter

Not OP but I'll check this out. I'm guessing it generates high voltage with very low amperage.

10000-50000 V typical
Amperage is variable and very tiny.
I remind you that people under the age of 18 shouldn't browse this website.

The breakdownvvoltage in air is about 1kV/mm, go figure it out.

breakdown voltage*
I don't know what i wrote there...

>mfw everyone in school bought a lighter and were using that as a taser
it was hell, /g/entlemen

You wrote "breakdownvvoltage". You typed a "v" instead of a blank space, no big deal.

i mean, writing woltage makes you look pretty stupid though.
I don't want the anonymous internet people to think that i am stupid.
