So I'm planning on getting a 980 or possibly the next gen series, provided they're good, but I still have a i7-3820 @3.60ghz cpu. I want to play newer games, am I going to have to upgrade my cpu as well or am I still gud for a while?

my 2500k is still kicking, so I'm assuming your ivy bridge i7 is gonna be fine

still, it should be more than enough
