The Z3C is such a disappointment, I bought into the hype, and I'm left with a shitty camera, the slipperiest phone in existence, and the fucking headphone jack no longer works because it became loose which is a common issue apparently. Also it's no longer waterproof since I dropped the fucking thing even with a case still on (I tested the internal pressure of the phone), so the flaps serve no purpose now other than to be annoying as fuck.

If I need a bigger screen I use my tablet or laptop, but generally it works out.
The sole problem is that a lot of apps add stupid bars on top of keyboards that hide a lot of the screen. Gotta use Flex to remove them.

Old people are used to older resistive touch screens which require pressure in order to register a touch. Some people just got used to jamming their finger really hard into them.
Also, some people have fingers so calloused that their skin doesn't conduct as easily, and they have to press their finger onto the screen hard so that the skin is squeezed thin conducts to the subdermal layer.
