I have £600 ($852.64) to buy a laptop.

Main reason I need it is for music recording/production on my travels.

I hate macs.

What should I buy? Or where should I look?

Yeah.. You really should buy a mac, even if you do hate it.

Why? Because you're in the music recording/production business and having a mac means you won't be restricted to PC only software and in the future event that you need to have mac software because that is all some prima donna will use your ass will be covered.
