Does anyone here use Libre Office?
If someone does I'd appreciate some help.
For some reason the spell check has not been working at all, and it's become a pretty big problem because I'll occasionally make a small typo and I don't get notified of it.

I have Automatic Spell Checking enables in the tools menu, but it still doesn't work for some reason.
Clicking on the spelling and grammar option also doesn't pick anything up and immediately tells me that the check is complete.

I just replaced the stock firmware on a piece of shit router I had laying around with OpenWRT, because I want to use the router as a signal repeater, and the stock firmware didn't have the option.

Now the problem is the wireless options are all gone from the router's admin page. Apparently OpenWRT comes with wireless disabled by default (for whatever silly reason), and the wiki instructions don't work for me (https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/wireless). Seems like the "wireless" file just doesn't exist. I'm accessing the router through telnet by the way.

Got a few questions here, java related.

1) How do I make a program that take's multiples of text and then writes it to a text file. I know the basics of implementing input -> text file but I'm not sure how to set it up for repeated use; and then exception handling for invalid input.

2) How would I implement an mp3 file in my java code? I want to code an alarm that full screens, plays an mp3 at max volume, and only halts after the user inputs some requested text/answer to question.

3) What would one need to know for developing a simple text based game? It doesn't seem that hard, but I'd like to know if there's anything specific I should look out for.

What do you mean lock in place?

Tbh it looks like a stand for a specific monitor, so if you mean height lock you might need to match the weight of that specific monitor, so you can randomly adjust it to fixed heights

HELP GUYS.

Out of a sudden, chrome and all browsers on my 4.4 kitkat tablet (wifi) can't opeen http links. ( I can do a google search but can't open links ) . Chrome gives me the message " err_connection_refused".

I have uninstalled them without disabling first. This is not a network issue because other devices are working properly on the same network.

>>53627442
There is nothing embarrasing about it, if you dont need it then there is no reason to use it.

You will be booting a OS from a USB and not the HDD, if its the HDD the one that has problems then you shouldn't have problems at all while using a live version of linux from a USB.

The top half slides up and down and springs to its default-which is the top. It stays down if you put a weight on it, but otherwise it retracts to the top. For me it doesn't make sense that it would just be adjustable like this if there wasn't a way to lock it in place.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/f6KgD3
budget has been around $1000
also selling my current laptop afterwards to help offset that
>>
>>53627544

Yeah thats the normal behavior

The springs pushed up with the same force the supposed monitor's weight would be pushing it down - so it stays wherever you adjust it to because the two forces are exactly the same unless you add to it.

If the monitor you are attaching to it is too light and the stand still brings it to the top on its own, you can find the correct weight and weigh it down, if you put the monitor on it and the spring is too weak to bring it up, afraid its useless.

Its how all Dell stands work and most others too.

And thats it.

Changed the 850 EVO 120GB for 240GB and a a PSU that is better.
Golden rule when building a PC, never cheap out in your PSU.
120GB is nothing for a OS SSD, you would fill it really fast.

And thats it, it just $50 more expensive.

I'm running Windows 10 Home on two computers that are on the same network. I want to use HWinfo to monitor one computer and have it show up on the other computer. When I go to the Remote Center and enter in the IPv4 address of the computer that I want to connect to, it doesn't connect (or if it does, I'm just not patient enough, but I waited at least 3 minutes for it to connect which should be more than enough). I'm a total illiterate when it comes to networking, please provide some insight...

That depends, actually. Do you have an optical or laser mouse? Different surfaces work better with either or. In my personal experience, Steelseries qck+ is a pretty decent choice, but it's caused me issues with jittery-ness on my new mouse. Presumably because laser doesn't work well with the fibers.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but fibrous mousepads perform worse with laser, and vice versa. Optical is better on fabric, whereas laser is better on smooth surfaces.

Actually, I just checked and you can replace "bestvideo+bestaudio" with "best[height=1080]" to have it only play 1080p videos. Only downside is that it will fail to play any videos that don't have a 1080p version if you do that.

Does preserving an installer matter? To give an example, let's say I have a game that I install, and rather than reinstall it at a later time, I simply zip up the folder and store it to be unzipped at a later time. Is there anything to be lost or messed by doing so? I can see on more complicated installers like Libre Office it's important to preserve things, but for games or simple applications?

>I simply zip up the folder and store it to be unzipped at a later time
can't do that with most applications because you will miss the registry keys associated with the software. at least on windows.

when you try to run the application it will ask you to reinstall it, so keep the installer around if you want to reinstall the software at a later point or transfer it to a different computer

I'll recommend (not trying to be rude, please do look this stuff up) searching around for your own information. I can tell you now, it's not a good idea to try and overclock an i7. That's all I'll say. Please search more information if you'd like to know more, as if I start trying to say "facts", they'll most likely be wrong - though what I said stays true, please don't try overclocking if you're not sure what you're doing with it to begin with. i5s are easily OCable. i7s (as I believe someone has stated) are a bit more unstable (a lot) when trying to OC.

Well sounds common.

You will need 2 disposable USBs or 1 blank disk and one disposable USB.
Why are you getting rid of them? because there is nothing wrong with being paranoid.

Make a bootable DBAN USB/Disc and use it to clean the HDD, it will get rid of all files and clean the HDD.
Then just use a USB to reinstall windows.

Download the ISO from here:
http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/56439-Windows-7-ultimate-x86-x64-ISO-Download

Make a USB bootable with the iso with a program like rufus or unebootin.
Reinstall windows.

Once done you might need network drivers, use 3DPN.
Then download 3DP Chip and install the other drivers.

Then reinstall the programs he might need.

I've read some rootkits and the like can stay persistant if you factory reset ur pc because it uses some shit in the win32 folder to manage to reset itself.
