I need a good chair, my back and neck is killing me sitting all day in front of the PC
Can /g/ recommend good chairs?
A good chair is great.
But the real problem is that you are sitting all day. Obviously, you have to sit to do your work. But I would recommend forcing yourself to take breaks every hour or so. Get up, do some basic stretches, let your eyes focus on things far away.
Again, a good chair will help. But you gotta take those break Anon and stretch.

is this chair actually good or is it a meme?
I mean I sat in race car's bucket seat before and I wouldn't call it comfortable

I have race seats in one of my cars and a few in my storage container. A DX is more padded, forgiving. Of course models vary. I have a DX being delivered on Wed. Should work for me. Hopefully better than the 20+yr old chair I am replacing, but it obviously has served me well and it is time to retire it. Can find Herman Miller all day on Craigslist for $250 and up of course.

it's good

Ok, I'm basically a chair autist - so I guess /g/ is a fair place to ask.
What's your budget? The god of computer/desk chairs is still the Herman Miller Aeron in my opinion, and prices have come down a lot over the years. They're a breathable mesh all-round with pretty extreme levels of adjustability for max comfort, plus you can buy every component of them individually so you can service and keep them for ~20 years easy.

Why not get a desk that can move into a standing height?

Jury is still out on standing while you work.

even has a water dispenser
Anyone use the steelcase criterion?
It seems pretty good for the price.
