So, google is forcing older browsers to display the older, shittier version of google. I wasn't affected by this until very recently. Does anyone know how to get new google to work with an older browser? I'm using Opera 12.

Yeah, I know, but I use their image search a lot since others aren't as good.

Don't want to.
I know /g/ is not tech support, but I can't find anything that helps with this problem, since it seems kind of specific.
>/g/ I have an issue I could easily resolve myself can you please help me think of a more complicated fix?

Pretty much, yeah.

I'm giving you a hint:

Update your fucking browser.
Google obviously have a reason to show you the simpler version - it's because your browser doesn't support the meaty version. Why should Google support an extra version magically for you when they can basically if (supported) ? good_version() : bad_version();
Stop being a twat, you know the answer

My browser supports it fine. Google does this because they want me to use their shitty chrome browser or whatever it's called.

>older, shittier
>shittier
I bet you would be mad if you had to use the legacy captcha too.

Thank you. That helped.

It is shittier. Compare with OP image.

Isn't Opera just chromium anyway? What difference does it make?

>useful information like URL, description, dimensions, filesize and format at a glance
>vs. jumbled mess of images that only lets you see the URL and dimensions on mouseover
I started intentionally forcing the old search by adding &sout=1 to the search query URL the day they switched to the new one. Unlike the equally superior old Maps they haven't removed this feature yet.
