So what do you look for when buying an SSD?

I'm looking to buy one but for some reason the same SSD on paper (size/read-write speeds) sometimes costs twice as another.

Buy a Samsung EVO 850 and be done with it. It's the best one in the entire market.
>>
its very simple
avoid ocz and kingston

why avoid kingston? because they lie about specs, they change hardware in existing models over time. Early models can have true specs while newer can have half the write speeds. You can find more info about this if you read some reviews. Kingston lies about alot of things. For example they sell usb3 sticks with writespeeds slower than cheap 2.0 sticks.

Why avoid ocz? because they have massive failures. Google ocz broken ssd. Mine broke within months.

Personally im running 3 intel ssd and a samsung. The samsung has the best write speeds 550/550 my intels are 500/250

I was comparing some SanDisk drives since I can get them for cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-2-5-Inch-Height-SDSSDHII-480G-G25/dp/B00M8ABFX6

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-2-5-Inch-Warranty--SDSSDXPS-480G-G25/dp/B00KHRYRLY

$55 difference for 15MB/s write speed? is that normal?

Get a Sandisk Ultra ii or a Samsung 850 if you want to spend more
