I've read about omega spring failures on axis locks. They might be caused mainly by corrosion from water/acid getting trapped in there. I only trust tri-ad locks for medium-duty tasks. Liner/frame locks I don't like and I'm not sold on compression locks. I mainly use a CS Tough Lite and I'm happy with it.
