Is there a way to simulate commercials in downloaded shows without editing the footage to include it? I'm fine with cropping episodes into the segments in which they would show commercials, I want to be able to fill another folder with random as bumps or something to fill in the void in shows where commercials are normally shown.
Pic unrelated
you cant be fucking serious
why would you want to watch commercials?
OP's logic is probably for breaks. Like bathroom and such
there are dedicated boxes that handle this on tv stations, and most of them run some old as fuck piece of software running on windows 2000
long story short, you yourself do not possess the ability to replicate this. and i know this because you had to ask this dumb question in the first place.

Just like a 30 second miniclip when a show would normally have commercials
It triggers my autism when it fades to black and starts back up in a non linear way, I just want something short to have the effect make sense again

Sorry, no. Downloaded shows do not include the times or durations of breaks.
Fun fact: I was about 14 before I realized that's why cartoons would skip backwards. Ads during shows are banned in my socialist utopia.

You are the only person in the world who wants this so you want to do it you'll have to make the program and break tags yourself.

I know, but I want to replicate the effect in a way
I can cut episodes into several files based on when commercial breaks would happen, I just want to know if there is a way to have whatever media service pull a random video or 2 from another folder to simulate the commercial effect to keep the flow of the show before/after commercial breaks going
