Yes. When people mix up powers of 2 and powers of 10 it really bothers my autism. It especially bothers me when OSs and programs are inconsistent and we're supposed to guess which one they mean. Windows is easy because it always uses powers of 2.
But Linux will use both interchangeably. I've seen implementations of Gparted use fucking BOTH depending on whether it's during an installation process or if it's acting as an application after the OS is installed. But do they use the correct "bibyte" vs "byte"? Fuck no, that would be too easy.

*bibytes weren't even distinguished as a thing until 1998. Before that the name had two meanings, all because they used the decimal-based Metric prefixes to name them.
