Have you ever jammed some radio frequency?
I know it is possible make a drone stop working by radio frequency jamming I only have jammed a WiFi signal in the 2.4 GHz band

I have no reason to, and it's illegal in the US.

>jam umts and lte frequencies
>every phone in cell switches to gsm
>monitor gsm control channel
>record phone calls
>crack a5/1 with beowulf cluster
>eavesdrop on conversations
>???
>$$$
What could possibly go wrong? ;)

Several US agencies have the ability to do this now, so I don't think it is illegal.

It really isn't that hard to do. The easiest way is to send random data to a DAC at a rate of the channel bandwidth you want to block. (assuming DAC is modulating a carrier at the desired center freq). I think another good addition would be a wide-band FFT rx channel that could be used to identify multiple channels and their bandwidths. This way you can concentrate the jamming power where it is needed instead of spreading it out.
