Who /oldtech/ here?
Finna switch from a Galaxy S4 (that I'll resell for 200$, got it for 140$ off a friend), to a pic related.
Why?
>Pocketable
>Metal back
>CM11 works fine on it
>WOLFSON DAC HOLY SHIT PROPER AUDIO CAN DRIVE BIGASS 32OHM HEADPHONES HOLY SHIT BETTER AUDIO THAN V10
>16GB internal (not even 9gb usable on the S4, mind you it was rooted and cm13)
>Browser, wikipedia app, everything works just fine
>Reads 64GB microSD Sandisk Extreme, and I can link2SD since its twice the speed of the internal memory
>The S4 will be bought by someone and probably loved, whilst this phone would be filling up a landfill somewhere since idiots can't be bothered into making it usable again.
Old tech rules.

Good one, dedicated gpu, c2d, and with 4gb ram and an ssd it should run w10 easily, play back 720p youtube too, honestly no one needs more than that.

it's overheating garbage with fans louder than some servers i've seen

Galaxy S Captivate is best phone.
It's screen is literally brighter than my meme nexus 6.
i use this, its probably older than me
>>53589026
It does go pretty fuckin' bright on max, that's true.
>>53588691
og note here
>>53589026
This.
Galaxy S captivate was am amazing phone. Used the shit out if mine. Had it sit in a drawer for a few years then repurposed it as a pay as you go phone for me mum running CM. Still running.

Niggers get out
If only I could update my screen resolution too.
>>53589089
I have this too. Problem is it doesn't support enough speakers to be actually surround.
My grandmother uses an iphone 2g on a low-data super cheap plan.
Considering all she does is check email and call people, it's pretty much perfect running iOS 3.
>>53588691
i had this phone with cyanogen until s5 came out
turned it on a few weeks ago to extract some dirty pics
works like a charm, so much dust and hair under the screen, def a beast
feels sluggish if youve had something new, but would work as a dialer

Marshmallow on HTC Sensation? How does it run? My late 2011 Galaxy Nexus won't even run CM12 smoothly.
>>53593010
It's surprisingly smooth, and because marshmallow can adopt SD cards I don't have to do ext-4 partition trickery to get more internal storage any more.
Recording seems to slow it down a bit, but you get the general idea.
I have never been good at flappy bird.
I have that phone. Crashes every 5 fucking minutes. Slow as hell too. Gonna boot it up again to fuck around.
I'm using a note II (n7100), bought it on release.
Is it old enough to count in here? Anyway
I run rooted kk 4.4.4. It starts to feel a little boring nowadays so I have bought some things to revamp it.
>New battery
>Leather battery cover
>Aluminium bumper
>QI wireless charging kit
As soon I have the stuff I'll put 6.0.1 on it and I'll have a "brand new" phone.
the battery life on this thing is absolute shit so be prepared to carry LOTS of spares

If you really want to mix up your android experience you can install these.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/htc-blinkfeed-plugins-devices-08-03-2015-t3049438
Although that depends if you like how HTC phones work.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy sII, it's running android 4.2.2., not sure of the touchwiz version number
I use the google now launcher, but otherwise it's stock. Should I root it and install a newer version of android or something?
It's not as snappy as I'd like it to be and I'm pretty sure it's because of touchwiz.
I've never rooted a phone since I've previously been a nexus user and pretty happy with the pure android experience
Sorry if my question doesn't belong here, the S II was released a year or so after the S captivate so I figured it would
>>53595060
Your best bet is to go find its android development forum on xda developers and see if any of the roms offer what you need.
I rooted my friends galaxy s2 and it was fairly simple from what I remember.
The hardest part was figuring what s2 it was as there seems to be two versions.

I hope you know you can get these things for $100 or even less
