I find most new laptops are shit. I wish we could just fix the internet and go back to 90s - early 00s laptops. Great designs, extremely robust and easy to fix. Also, FUCK WIDESCREEN. It has no place on a portable device. It made laptops bigger for no fucking reason, let the manufacturers cheap out on LCD panels. and is actually worse for work. Can't stand the "gaming laptop" look. I've been through two rMBP 13's this past summer due to build quality issues and now I have this used one from eBay. Anytime I use an external monitor, the CPU idles around 60C because of the way the heatsink is installed and the requirement to use dedicated graphics with an external monitor.

Bought to replace the T420. On a 3 cell, this laptop is getting 15 hours of use with 50% screen brightness. The T420 was lucky to get 11 hours between 2x9 cell batteries.
Honestly I took a hard look at what I actually use a laptop for. Notes, web browsing, movies. I rarely if ever had to open a VM on my laptop or do any hard core compiling. Everything I did was on my much bigger and much more capable deaktop.
