Depends on what you want, you should try arc or flat studio, also the numix icons are very sweet. I also like synapse and depending on the machine i use compton or compiz.

Given various choices of Linux Ubuntu on a chromebook, what would you guys choose? Barring Unity of course because I tried using it in the past and it is god awful ugly and heavy on resources.
I'm between Plasma and XFCE. The chromebook in question is a Toshiba Chromebook 2. 13.3" 1080p screen, 4gb ddr3, intel Celeron dual core 1.6ghz, intel 802.11AC wifi.

I'd say XFCE, plasma is alot more resource intensive compared to XFCE. XFCE performs great on older systems. Even runs perfectly run on my old first gen atom netbook.
