What programming language did they use? A quick search on Google doesn't give me anything.
Thanks /g/ bros
Go
is Go just like a reformatted C with garbage collection that doesn't require windows libraries?

C doesn't require windows libraries u dummy
and yeah Go is for system programming same as C++, C, Rust, D

>dummy
that was hurtful, friend. I meant like how C# is C++ with garbage collection and a bunch of windows goodies
Itt: nobody knows

It doesn't matter which programming language you use, its algorithms that matter. Alpha go is a marvel of machine learning. If you want to know something about its internals you can look at the paper https://gogameguru.com/i/2016/03/deepmind-mastering-go.pdf and at this book http://www.cin.ufpe.br/~tfl2/artificial-intelligence-modern-approach.9780131038059.25368.pdf
As for the language they have used C/C++ for MCTS and (almost certainly) Python/Tensorflow for deep learning part. Also using CUDA/cuDNN is mandatory if you want to train large neural networks as fast as possible. Also they probably used MPI for communication between servers.

Thanks

falafel.

Why would it even matter to you? The language used is the least important part of the system.
I don't remember. Source is in google3 but the core heuristic is protected.
