When i buy a phone i root it and remove the bloat but never replace the stock rom, stock roms are put out by the manufacturers and contain obscure hardware that requires proprietary drivers that other roms don't even have access to which is why the cyanogen forums are always filled with threads about how nothing works.

One of the things that I like is that the icon packs behave better in this Launcher.
With any other Launcher with any other icon pack, there is always apps that doesn't have a customized icon. Apps with backgrounds usually looks like shit when the background gets inside of the icon border of the icon pack. And some icon packs are so special that the ones who doesn't have a customized icon simply looks out of place.
MIUI custom icons always fits, and if the icon pack doesn't have an icon for an specific app, MIUI adds some kind of filter to make it look like the rest.
