better just type in steamcommunity.com/about then click download, then continue to click next 40 times :^) plus you don't need to do this with anything else, just steam

Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

Look, I don't use Windows for games specifically. It's an extra, something that I can get rid of. If I can no longer play something because I switched OS, I still have one great thing on linux: RetroArch.

It's them adobe tools. It's the fact that to make them work almost perfectly stable without issues I would have to use a virtual machine.

Also another issue I have on linux is that the one DE that I really, really liked (MATE) has tearing issues while using Chromium with Compiz. And I want them animations, and I want Chromium.

Just login as root the same way you'd use your account as an administrator on Windows.

Two thirds most of the time for old games that was ported, for newer games depends a lot on the game, considering that for a lot of developers supporting linux was an afterthought and how locked the industry was in microsoft-only APIs is not so bad. Now those who want to use linux and wants to play without wine or dual booting has a plenty of options.

These are the reasons people use windows.
If you run the same software on linux, you can stop the processes when you want.
It is not ideal, but it is not worse than running it on windows.

Because OP's video was retarded, long, and inefficient.

Very unlikely due to wwo things:
1 - Depends on what library the newest fifa uses, at this moment wine doesn't have dx10-11 support. If the newest fifa uses opengl or dx9 there's a good chance. At least you can run fifi 13 fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQBMDEu3re8

2 - Running origin may be the hardest part, it seems possible according to this: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=13176
However i don't know if it could be hard.

If it helps i can run PES 2016 in steam with wine, there's a free to play version that works fine for me, you should try by yourself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdN-tQnnuNM

If you're new to wine i recommend using playonlinux, download the staging versions and activate CSMT and you'll get a good performance.

Thanks for the video, i'll save it for people claiming that is harder to install steam on linux. Just remember people that steam is a 32-bit app, you need to activate the architecture if you're (most probably) running a 64-bit system, that's common knowledge for linux users and it's not hard.

You don't need to use sudo to perform an apt-cache search.

I think he means enabling multiarch on the system which Ubuntu does by default I believe.

Not everyone is a babby.
>>
>>53591319
i mean to enable the 32-bit architecture because steam depends on some packages built for 32-bit.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MultiArch

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

then update your sources

Xcode is not without any of that. Like, it's fucking clang on the other end. But what magic do you even do other than calling your package manager to i-n-s-t-a-l-l your editor?

You have much more power over the PC using the console than the GUI though.
