Tried a pin jack to rca adapter from my phone to tape in of my stereo (analog to analog) but it sounds like shit. Much worse than listening to a cd burned from mp3 files. (mp3 cds > Friends give them to me and I try to appear like I appreciate it) This tells me that my phones DAC is much more limiting than lossy vs lossless bitrate in terms of audio quality. It was a bitch to find a way to losslessly mux the audio directly from the .m2ts files into multi-channel FLAC without transcoding.
