Both python and js.
They can be used each in there own way. Python is not tied to a browser, so it can do things js cant, and can be used together with js... for example Django.
Js is tied to the browser-ish (node.js) and usually used in context with only Web in mind.
It's never a bad idea to learn more than one thing... it's what makes you not a dumb ass.
