how do I learn reverse engineering?
Learn about assembly and compilers and basically become a reverse compiler.

Are there any jobs in reverse engineering?

Not really, no.

You could go work for an anti-cheating company (?)
be autistic

Security and debugger devs.

FBI
Lena's reversing tuts
google it
now
do it fgt
Where's reverse? He was like the only good /g/ tripfag
It's pretty much like engineering. You go to classes, learn shit, read reference books, help people out and you gradually improve yourself.
Except you do all that in reverse

Reverse engineering can be used in a number of ways. It's main use these days is debugging but it's also a necessity in security and research. If you're particularly good at it you might even be able to get a job at a large company reversing, rewriting, and patching ancient software where no one knows how it works anymore.

Oh and there's still one area where it can come in handy, writing drivers. You may not get all the necessary specifications for how a device works and may have to look at an existing implementation elsewhere to get what you need.
get good at assembly, understand memory addressing and debugging - all those skills can be picked up by reading an assembly book, this is the foundation you'll need. Then I suggest going through reverse engineering tutorials. Learn the topics around what you're reversing, such as the language or frameworks it uses.

>Where's reverse?
His job keeps him really busy so he doesn't come here very often
>He was like the only good /g/ tripfag
Falcon tries to keep ht "build me a PC crowd" to a minimum so he's also ok on my books

Oh and there was a tripfag that really knew his shit about networks but i don't remember his name

This is surprisingly apt.
